Schedule Adjustment for Multiple Trains Starting from Xiamen Municipality Began on December 21
The new train working diagram will be adopted at 0:00 on the December 21. Multiple trains starting from Xiamen Railway Station will have their train schedules, stops and groupings adjusted correspondingly.
The biggest adjustment is seen in the transition of Xiamen-Guiyang temporary passenger trains to regular ones. The train number will remain the same after the adjustment, with soft-berth compartments added and the starting time changed to 20: 23 (arrival time at 7: 16); The Guiyang-Xiamen train will start at 20: 00 (arrival time at 6: 56), with the schedule for stops adjusted accordingly. Beginning from December 19, soft-berth tickets for the Xiamen-Guiyang train will be available with full fare for the lower berth at 407 yuan per ticket.
The following train stop adjustments are made: Another five pairs of trains running alternately will begin to stop at Hua%26rsquo;an Station, namely No. 1946/5, 2250/49, N506/5, N512/1 and N546/5; No. K336/3/6 from Xiamen to Chongqing North Railway Station will begin to stop at Qianjiang Station; No. 2025 from Bengbu to Xiamen has the Leping Station delisted, and No. 2249 from Hangzhou to Xiamen will begin to stop at Guangze Station.
In addition, students can buy return tickets at the Xiamen Railway Station on January 1-8, 2009, and the trains will run on February 10-28, 2009.
Minor Schedule Adjustment for Trains Running within the Territory of Nanping Municipality
According to information learnt on November 15 from the Nanping section, Nanchang Railway Bureau will make minor changes in the train working diagram and adjust the operations of passenger trains as of 0:00, December 21 in accordance with the uniform arrangement of the Ministry of Railways in a bid to capitalize on the incremental railway transport capacity and further satisfy the transportation needs of passengers.
It is reported that the train working diagram will be slightly altered based on passenger flow. And two more trains will stop within the Nanping section, namely the Hangzhou-Xiamen No. 2249 train stopping at Guangze Station for boarding (arrival time at 19:01, departure time at 19:05) and the Chongqing North- Xiamen No. K335 train stopping at a designated regular stop marked on the diagram instead of a temporary stop not marked on the diagram.
The schedule of some passenger trains running through the Nanping section is optimized in the minor adjustment, with their overall running time largely shortened. For instance, the Bengbu- Xiamen No. 2025 train takes 49 minutes less to run the whole journey, and the overall operation time of the Fuzhou-Xi%26rsquo;an No. N540/1, Quanzhou- Hankou No. K398 and Hankou- Quanzhou No. K397 trains are cut down by 26, 24 and 21 minutes respectively. Among the adjusted trains, the Fuzhou- Qingdao No. K68 train now arrives at Nanping Station at 17:17 and departs at 17:21, a change from the previous arrival time at 17:21 and departure time at 17:29; the Xiamen- Shanghai South No. K198 train now arrives at Nanping Station at 8:40 and leaves at 8:44, a postponement of 18 minutes from the prior arrival time at 8:22 and departure time at 8:26; the Fuzhou- Chongqing North No. 1004 train now arrives at Laizhou Station at 21:01, the same arrival time as before and leaves at 21:07, a change from the prior departure time at 21:16; the same train now arrives at Shunchang Station at 21:56 and leaves at 22:00, a change from the previous arrival time at 22:05 and departure time at 22:08.
In addition, for passenger trains running through the Nanping section, the ticket pre-sale period has resumed to 10 days instead of five days beginning from the date of train departure as of December 17. Railway authorities hereby remind all prospective passengers to pay close attention to notices on changes in train schedules and make good travel arrangements in advance as a number of trains are designated to transport newly recruited soldiers during this period.
Train Schedule at Sanming Railway Station to be Adjusted as of December 21
A total of 16 passenger trains running through Sanming Municipality will have their schedule adjusted as of 0:00, December 21 due to railway construction.
According to the head of Passenger Travel Office, Sanming Railway Station, the schedule adjustment won't be a major one, and the stop time at Sanming Railway Station will be extended to facilitate passengers boarding the train at the Station. He took the chance to remind prospective passengers to get timely updates on changes in train schedule and make proper travel arrangements.
