It is learned that the Project, a tourism public service funded by the Chinese government, will provide tourists such services as tourism information, tips, complaints and tourist rescue, effectively safeguard tourism consumers%26rsquo; interests, build public service image of tourism industry management department. On August 1, 2008, the CNTA held Tourism Service Hotline 12301 Get-through Ceremony in Beijing. Since then, the system has run well, the telephone calls increased obviously, the opertators deal with tourists%26rsquo; basic inquiries effectively, with good attitude, appropriate speech, and rich tourism knowledge. So far, the project has made phrasal achievement with all sides%26rsquo; joint efforts.
At present, the rest provinces or cities are also taking active acts to complete the project, the preparations progressing smoothly. Among them, some have finished the application record of the number and received local governments%26rsquo; supporting funds. Some are actively applying to get through the hotline. Catching the opportunity of 12301 public service platform development, some provinces have made breakthroughs in informationization structure, formation, capital and laid a foundation for the following all-out promotion.
