On Jan. 23, China Meteorological Bureau organized a Spring Festival Golden Week%26rsquo;s weather situation consultation, and the emergency office under the State Council, China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Railway, the State Bureau of Safety Regulatory Audit, General Administration of Civil Aviation of China attended this consultation meeting. Weather Bureaus in regional centers of Beijing, Shenyang, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Lanzhou and Urumqi also attended this situation consult. The situation consultatation concluded that, the blast of winter being hitting China may well end before the Eve of Spring Festival. It will be calm in most regions in China. Temperature assumes a rise and most regions in North China can expect a 2 centigrade higher than the same period in usual years, and temperature in most regions of South China will keep close as the same period in usual years. More rain and snow will be expected in regions within Sichuan basin, Yunnan-Kweichow Plateau, and the middle and lower reaches of Changjiang River, while rain and snow will not be so strong. In quake-hit Wenchuan, more rain and snow will be expected and will not be hit by visible cold air. The National Holiday Office asked the tourists to pay close attention to the weather change at any time, and asked them to well-arrange tours and protect themselves from climate disasters.
Related departments of security, transportation and quality inspection are also carrying out several works to guarantee a peaceful journey for all tourists in the holiday.
