On Jan. 2, 2010, the opening ceremony for China Changchun Ice %26amp; Snow Tourism Festival and Jingyuetan Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival was held in Changchun Jingyuetan National Forest Park. Those present at the event include Wang Rulin, Acting Governor of Jilin province; Gao Guangbin, member of Standing Committee of Jilin Provincial Committee of CPC and Secretary of Changchun Municipal Committee of CPC; Zhu Yejing, Standing Committee of Changchun Municipal People's Congress; Mayor Cuijie, Party Members of China National Tourism Administration, as well as Wu Wenxue, Vice President of China Tourism Association.
Statistics show that, over the latest 12 years, Changchun Ice %26amp; Snow Tourism Festival have attracted over 49 million person-times of domestic and foreign tourists, used funds in excess of RMB 75 billion, and achieved a total tourism income exceeding RMB 39 billion.
The festival is to close after Feb. 28.
