All local Holiday Offices have thrown themselves in the preparation for Golden Week services. On December 24, 2008, the NHTICM issued the Notice on Tourism Service during the 2009 Spring Festival Golden Week (Jia Ri Ban [2008] No. 12), prescribing a full-scale arrangement of the tourist service during the Golden Week. The fifth plenary meeting of the NHTICM was held later on January 5, with a second mobilization and arrangement on the service during the Golden Week. As a feedback to which, all local institutions continue to stand energetically against the international financial crisis, taking effective actions with a view to ensure the economic prosperity at the beginning of the new year, as well as to enlarging the Holiday tourist market. Also, all localities have clarified their tasks in order to secure an all-round safeguard, improve the public service, and build a favorable marketing environment. In short, all preparation work for the holiday tourism service has been switched on.
