The book is edited by the Institute based on the research results of a special research of National Tourism Administration %26quot;2008 ~ 2009 Analysis and Forecast of the Economic Operation of China's Tourism and Development, %26quot;, and is the first research work focused on the country's overall economic performance of tourism, with prominent characteristics of serving the state's macroeconomic policy-making, based on a large number of first-hand investigation and empirical research, and strengthening the development forecast and guidance functions.
The book is divided into seven chapters, respectively making scientific analysis and systematic combing on hot issues, including, the overall economic performance of China's tourism in 2008 and forecasts of development in 2009, characteristics and trends of travel needs, development and forecast of tourism enterprise, patterns and trends of regional tourism economic performance, current development and outlook of tourism in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, a global vision of China's tourism industry, as well as major events and public services generating the impact on China's tourism economy development as a whole, and based on the findings, the book puts forward specific policy suggestions.
While summing up the tourism economy operation in 2008, the book makes a scientific analysis and forecast on the situation of tourism economy development in 2009. The content and theory of the book is highly relevant in helping the tourism industry face the current difficulties and strengthen their confidence, promoting economic recovery of our tourism and maintaining steady and rapid growth of the national economy.
